Alcatel and Lucent are merging, and the Wall St. Journal has an article about a possible culture clash between the French and American companies. I see this as upside for all the Americans because of the new "french" benefits:
- Champagne at all meetings after 4:00 (3 on holidays)
- Health Benefits for Mistresses
- A new "C-Level" position: Chief Philosopher Poet (CPP). You get to site in the Cafe, drink coffee, smoke Gauloises, and expound short treaties on the decline of corporate existentialism
